Summer Berry Cake

 A buttery sponge cake filled with fresh in-season berries was then smothered in whipped cream and topped with more fresh berries. I used strawberries, blueberries, and sweet cherries... Yum!

Mango Bread

 When you have an excess of fresh ripe mangos why not bake with them? So I made some mango bread (think banana bread but with mangos).

 For Valentine's day this year, my husband and I decided to stay in and make pasta from scratch. We made simple fettucine style noodles with homemade pasta sauce and bread rolls to go with!  

Pump-can Pie

 Mixed two great classics for a holiday dessert this year, pumpkin pie and pecan pie, to create a so-called "pump-can" pie. It was surprisingly delicious.

Violets, roses, and sunflowers, oh my! Working at a chocolate shop during Easter means lots of chocolate eggs! All hand painted, these beauties are made with colored cocoa butter, dark chocolate, and hallow in the center. Makes for a lovely center piece at Easter dinner.

What's better than flowers? A cupcake bouquet, that's what! Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes topped with peachy rosettes made a very special retirement gift.
